We find it so difficult for a million reasons - but mostly, I think, because we’ve been taught, generation after generation, to give love before we’re ever allowed to receive it, even from ourselves. So yes, it’s an act of defiance - but more than that, it’s an act of recalibration. A sacred rewriting of accepted norms that never served us, into ones that finally feel true to our souls.
